HISTORY Originally constructed for Farm
ers State Bank in 1912, the building in which Longfellows Inn resides has seen many changes. Having been the only structure in the Scappoose business district erected chiefly of cement at the time, it was one of few buildings that survived the town fire of 1915.
Over the years, it has served as a meeting place for the Scappoose City Council and the Masons, as well as having housed the First National Bank, a meat market, and doctor and dentist offices.
We welcome you to Longfellows Inn ~ a gathering place in the past, present, and in the years to come.
